Each April the Quilter’s Guild of Parker County holds an auction of quilts, quilting/sewing related items, services etc. The quilts for auction are made by members of the guild individually, members of Bees collectively and some years vintage quilts and/or quilt tops have been donated.
The funds from the Auction go towards the Guild’s General Fund for education and operation, which may if possible, include cash donations to other local 501(c)3 organizations. In the past, the Guild has made donations to Habitat for Humanity as well as additional donations to support senior citizens in Parker County.
The Auction consists of raffle items as well as live auction. The Quilter’s Guild of Parkers County annual Raffle Quilt makes its debut during the festivities.
The 9th Annual Auction is scheduled for April 10, with preview and registration beginning at 6:30 pm and the Live Auction commencing at 7 pm. The Auction will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Grace Presbyterian Church, 606 Mockingbird Lane, Weatherford.
